Criteria of eligibility for our programme:

1. You must be resident within the Mandeni municipality.
2. You must have been tested HIV-positive.
3. You must be ARV-naive, i.e. never have been on antiretroviral treatment before.
4. You must have disclosed your status or be prepared to do so.
5. You must be a person who cannot afford to buy the medication yourself.
6. You must be prepared to take the prescribed medication twice a day on every day of your life.
