of Blessed Gérard's Children's Home.

Requirements:

The successful applicant must be a qualified Social worker and registred in South Africa.

Abridged job description

The Deputy Manager of Blessed Gérard' Children's Home will support the Manager of Blessed Gérard's Children's Home.

The special focus of the Deputy Manager of Blessed Gérard's Children's Home is:

to counsel the children living in the Children's Home and
to assess the situation of children before their placement and - if necessary -
to monitor their wellbeing after their discharge from the Children's Home
to liaise with the Commissioner of Child Welfare about the placement and progress of children in our Home
to liaise with the Department of Social Development in all relevant issues
to support and deputise the manager of the Children's Home
