1 September 2006: 2nd anniversary of the arrival of Miss Susanne Stauffer

1 September 2006: Dr. Philile S S Mdletshe starts employment with us as our new medical practitioner.

1 - 15 September 2006: HAART Readiness Course

3 September 2006: 10th anniversary of the blessing and opening of Blessed Gérard's Church and Blessed Gérard's Care Centre


5 September 2006: Dr. Philile S S Mdletshe, our new doctor, on her first ward round in Blessed Gérard's Hospice.


5 September 2006: Another abandoned baby girl (we call her Magdalena Zulu) is introduced to her new "parents" Susanne Stauffer, the project Co-ordinator of Blessed Gérard's Children's Home and Father Gérard

7 September 2006: Meeting of the Councils of the Brotherhood of Blessed Gérard and Blessed Gérard's Care Centre.


10 - 12 September 2006: Dr. Björn and Dr. Anne Peters visit us as part of their honeymoon journey.

14 - 17 September 2006: Father Gérard, Dr. Mdletshe and Mrs Meyer attend the CRS ART Conference in Bronkhorstspruit.


18 September 2006: Sibusiso (Zulu for Benedict) was the name we chose for a social orphan who came to us just 2 hours after his birth. Susanne Stauffer introduces him to the other children in Blessed Gérard's Children's Home.


19 September 2006: Sibusiso, still less than a day old with his new "daddy" Father Gérard.

21 September 2006: Dedicated Members meet with Mrs. Sheryl Wüst, the Regional Mentor of the HPCA for KZN

22 September - 6 October 2006: HAART Readiness Course

25 September - 4 October 2006: Home Based Carers' Course

28 September 2006: The Department of Home Affairs extends Susanne Stauffer's temporary residence permit until 25 September 2009

28 September 2006: Dedicated Members' Meeting


29 September 2006: Susanne Stauffer competes in Zulu Dancing with the top of the crop ... celebrating her visa extension.


30 September 2006: Susanne Stauffer, Deacon and Mrs Müller and Fr Gérard make a thanksgiving pilgrimage to Oetting,

Lourdes

 and Centocow (all in South Africa) for the fact that Miss Stauffer was allowed to stay with us.
