Loungefurn workers hear the Aids messages from Mathombi Ntshangase and Clare Kalkwarf

World Aids Day observed

World Aids Day was commemorated at Loungefurn in Isithebe on November 29 with the theme being "if you know then you can help yourself".

Farhana Patel of Loungefurn said they believed that people needed to be well equipped with knowledge in order to change their outlook towards life and start living positively.

"The testimonies of people living with HIV/AIDS helps a lot of people to come to terms with their own personal situations and also to support friends and family in their crisis."

The invited guests were Mathombi Ntshangase, an AIDS activist speaker and Clare Kalkwarf from the Care Centre of the Brotherhood of Blessed Gérard.

Ms. Ntshangase's advice was that by taking the correct medication, exercising regularly and eating healthy foods prolongs the life span of a person living with HIV/AIDS.

Clare Kalkwarf shared with the contents of a recent Aids conference that she had attended and one of the key areas covered was to obtain audience interaction in terms of personal commitment in the fight against HIV/AIDS.
